Over the last few days we have been exploring this part of Catalunya.  As you can see it offers a lot of contrast in a relatively small area.

On Monday the children were off school so we took them down the coast by train to a place called Malgrat del Mar. The kids had a great time on the beach and in a fantastic play area. Continue reading France And Spain Adventure 3

23rd April has double significance; St Jordi (St George) is the Patron Saint of Catalonia so this is the Catalan National day and it is also Kim’s brothers birthday. This year we were able to celebrate both! We gave Mark his presents and cards after breakfast; interesting to be told they do not do birthday cards here in Spain! Continue reading 23 April

Time For A Plan B

Ok, now that our house move is complete it’s time for us to get back to our trip planning. We have had some unwanted news re our original plans to travel back from Budapest by river spending two weeks cruising the Danube and the Rhine. Now all the brochures for the 2017 season are out we have discovered that the cruises do not start until the 1st April! This would mean extending the trip by about 3 weeks or going to plan B.
